Containment booms are solid floatation containment booms for harbours and protected waters that allow oil spills to be contained on the surface of the water in order to prevent them from spreading.
These booms are equipped with closed cell foam floats, giving the boom excellent wave following characteristics and exceptional protection in adverse conditions.
The fabric used, top quality, high-frequency-welded oil-resistant coated fabrics, make this boom robust and highly resistant to hydrocarbons, chemical agents and weather conditions. A high visibility color and reflective strips make the boom visible. Folding areas marked with different color every 2 m.
Each section is fitted with Norwegian type standard end connectors, mooring points, handles and a light holder.

Braided twine nets for use with containment booms
In professional fishing, braided twines and ropes are essential, and this is because they have been proven to be the most stable and resistant.
Braiding is a textile composition in which the strands are interwoven in a diagonally overlapping pattern.
The lifting capacity of a braided twine or rope is much higher than other textile compositions for the same application. High tenacity polyamide 6 is used as the basis for this type of net.
Our braided threads have special characteristics. A standard braid is transversally flexible, and this fact allows its embodiment into other textiles such as nets. Some braids are treated with special impregnations in order to provide the fibres with better abrasion and durability properties.
The most critical step is the finishing of the bale of netting. The heat setting process in the autoclave provides the maximum fixation in the knots and the required dimensional stability for the sheets to be assembled.
